They might be excused by some as 90 minute bigots, but Billy's Boys fuel and perpetuate sectarian divisions. It's disheartening to see a progressive city like Manchester offer them such hospitality, without any challenge to the rascist bile they spout.

I was personally on the receiving end of some Rangers fans' abuse a few years ago, traveling by ferry from Scotland to Northern Ireland. When they heard my accent (and that of my parents and sister) i.e. from Dublin, they began chanting and shouting at us. Then some charming sectarian songs. Not a single person on that ferry said a word in our defence.
These are complete bigots and use sport as a channel for their hatred. What they did in Manchester last night was inexcusable. You have to ask: what other city is now going to lay on organised entertainment for Rangers fans when they come to visit?
